World Baking Day

The Ultimate Guide to 18 Essential Baking Tools

Next week you will have the perfect excuse to book a cooking lesson with Chef’s Compliments as it’s World Baking Day on Tuesday 17th May!

In case you didn’t know (although we’re sure you guessed by it’s title!) World Baking Day is a day to indulge in baking delicious treats in your kitchen. The first World Baking Day was back in 2012 and it was introduced to spread the joys of baking. One of the initiatives of the day is to give your bakes to your loved ones to show gratitude and that’s definitely something we’re all up for now now that we can actually see our loved ones again!

Whether it’s a savory loaf or the sweetest cake there’s something for everyone to enjoy when it comes to baking and we can cover them all in one of our cooking lessons.

This World Baking Day we would love to cover your baking themed cooking lesson so here’s a bit more about how they work.

Before the lesson- We do everything bespoke so we will work with you to create a lesson plan you love. We’re happy for you to come to us with your ideas in mind and we will deliver on these or if you’re unsure we’ll ask about your likes and dislikes and make suggestions based on this until we reach the perfect lesson plan for you. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements or if you’d like to look at how to bake free from items, for example we can look at gluten free recipes, we’re happy to cover your exact needs.

In person or virtual- If you decide to do the lesson in person them once the lesson is finalised you can relax and wait for the day of the lesson. The chef will come to your home on the day of the lesson with all the ingredients along with recipe cards for you to follow along. If you opt to do the virtual lesson, we will send you a shopping list so you can get what you need so you will be ready on the day when the chef will join you via a virtual video link. We will also send digital copies of your recipes so you have them on the day to help you follow the chef’s instructions.

A lesson for World Baking Day is a great excercise to do in your work place, you can read more about this in our virtual corporate lesson blog. You can also read about the other benefits of a virtual cooking lesson in our other blogs on them including the fact that an unlimited number of people can join and they can join from any location!
