Summer Party Tips
The sun is shining so call some friends, get the BBQ out of the shed and use these top tips to create a fabulous summer party!
Chef's Compliments Top Barbecue Tips
1. Be adventurous! Steer away from the usual sausages and burgers and try fish, vegetables and cuts of meat on the barbie. Be creative and use strong springs of rosemary as skewers for chicken pieces, or banana leaves as a plate!
2. For the perfect steak, only flip it once and give it plenty of time to rest once it’s cooked. You’ll get sharp chargrill criss-cross lines and it will be juicy throughout!
3. Use a frying pan on the grill to cook flaky fish or soft fruits, such as bananas or mango slices.
4. Give your vegetarians a treat with some chargrilled aubergine or pak choi. Simple, quick and tasty; just make sure you cook them in a separate area on the grill, away from any meat.
5. Don’t waste the heat from the BBQ when you’ve cooked your food on the grill. Boil some water in a pan over the grill and use it to cook some noodles or fresh pasta.
